Information provided on the site
Each item has its own box and illustration with selected features listed and the date from which delivery can be made. Price is shown in a separate box along with the number of Nectar card points you earn. Under the product name is its delivery status, whether it merits free delivery or Sainsbury’s ‘Rapid delivery’ service. The latter is a service that can get you your product in as little as 24 hours for an extra fee. Go to the link under ‘Delivery and Returns’ at the bottom of the page for full details.
On the left hand side of the page is a menu that refines your search. There are more options here than in most sites. You can search by ‘Delivery’, whether Sainsbury’s Rapid Delivery option is available or just standard, ‘Fitting’ including built in or free standing, ‘Manufacturer’, ‘Colour’, ‘Height’, ‘Width’, ‘Depth’ and whether or not the product has a ‘Built in grinder’. The number of items available to your criteria is given in brackets beside it.
A tab at the top of the page allows you to sort by ‘Energy Rating’ as well, although no information on the ratings was available for the products listed. There is a ‘Best Buy’ tag on products that are considered good value.
Click on the image to open the item page. There’s a larger illustration here with the option to enlarge even more by using the magnifying glass icon. This image is large enough to see detail clearly. There is also a drawing of the fitting specs for built in models. To the right is the full name and model number of the product and its dimensions and whether it uses ground coffee or beans or both.
In a box below is the colour of the item and product code. A ‘Buy’ button is also in this box.
Below this are buttons for ‘Reviews” and ‘Specifications’. The latter gives a list of technical details such as whether it uses fresh beans or ground, whether it has a strength selector or removable water tank. The information given here is fairly basic.
