Pixmania is noted for its range of products and this website certainly boasts a huge range of electronics and more. It’s a link between the product’s sellers and its buyers – that’s you and prices may differ for the same product. It’s a full-on website experience. The site is crammed with boxes giving offers and sale information but the site is easy to navigate and the coffee makers quick to find. You can buy used as well as new products as well. The flashing buttons telling you about reductions can be a bit distracting, though.

Finding the selection on coffee makers
Once you’ve found the Pixmania home page click on the Home Appliances tab at the top of the page. This will bring down a menu. Go to ‘Small Home Appliances and click on Breakfast/Coffee Makers/Espresso Machines’. On the left hand side of the ‘Breakfast/Coffee Makers/Espresso Machines’ page is a menu where you will find ‘Espresso Machines’ and ‘Coffee makers’ listed separately. Click on the latter for cafetieres, filter coffee makers and percolators. Click on Espresso makers for a selection of espresso and bean to cup machines.
The selection available
Pixmania has a wide selection of all types of coffee maker from straightforward filter models to Bodum cafetieres and double jug machines. All the popular brands are included as well as some lesser-known ones such as Gastroback, Aerobie and Princess Royal. A list of all the brands represented is shown at the bottom of the last page. There’s a wide range of espresso machines as well, again from the popular manufacturers. Prices in the middle range with some large discounts to be had.
Information provided on the site
On the coffee maker site you can search by Capacity, Type of coffee, Type of coffee maker, System and Filter. If you click on capacity a number of option links appear at the top of the page, from 2 – 6 cups to 6 – 12 cups with options in between. Click on the size you want. Type of coffee brings up Coffee beans or ground coffee as options, while clicking on filter brings up duo, filter or press.
There are lots of options to choose from. Items are listed one after the other with an image on the right hand side. Each one is then listed under Brand, Price, Availability as well as VIPix, Consumer’s opinion and Packs. There’s a compare button at the end of each item band. Click the buttons of the ones you wish to compare then click the ‘Compare’ button at the end of the list.
Click on the image to bring up the item page. On this page, under the full name and model number of the product, you get the price, who is selling it, whether the item is in stock the shipping fee and a description of the product. Under this there are three tabs for more information. You can click on ‘Information sheet’, ‘Similar products’ or ‘Comparometer’.
The ‘Information sheet’ lists basic features such as the coffee maker’s system, its capacity, whether it has a digital display and its programs among other things. Under ‘Similar products’ there’s a list of products you might be interested in comparing at a price range within 10% up or down. The ‘Comparometer tab brings up a list of items. You can compare two or more items by using your mouse and holding down the ‘Apple’ button on your keyboard.

Buying from the website
When you’ve chosen an item click on the ‘Add to Order’ button. This will bring up a confirmation window. To continue, click the ‘Finalise your order’ button then the ‘Confirm Order’ button. Next follow the procedure through log in. delivery choice, summary, payment and confirmation.
At the bottom of the item page there are links to ‘Available payment methods and ‘Available delivery methods’. Click on the former to bring up the ‘Methods of Payment’ page. Pixmania offers different methods of payment. You can use your credit or debit card, pay by bank transfer or use PayPal if you have a PayPal account. The ‘Delivery page explains the methods of delivery used by Pixmania. You have the options of standard or express.

It’s easy to navigate, though and it divides coffee makers into two categories, so you can go straight to espresso makers without wasting time looking through other systems.
