Currys

Well known high street electricals outlet Curry’s has developed a website where you can buy online. It’s a busy site with a lot of advertising and offers boxes. Still the coffee makers pages are easy enough to find and there is a link where you can reserve online and collect in just one hour if you’re in a hurry. Delivery includes free and next day options and they’ll take away and recycle your old coffee machine.

Items are laid out one after the other. There is an image of the item on the left hand side. Its full name and model number are beside the image with the price along the bar. There’s an ‘add to Basket’ box on each item band with a ‘Reserve and Collect’ link underneath. Each item has a compare button at the right hand side of the bar. Click on the buttons of the items you want to compare then click on the ‘Compare’ button at the top of the list.

To the right of the page is an alternatives menu where similar products are displayed that you might want to have a look at before you make your purchase.

Curry’s uses the independent ‘reevoo’ system of reviewing products with scores marked out of ten. It’s worth having a look at the reviews as there are negatives as well as positives inputted here.

Buying from the website

To buy from the website first click on the ‘Add to basket’ button to the side of the image. This brings up the delivery options page where you are advised whether you can have ‘home delivery’ or ‘reserve and collect’. In some cases home delivery is not offered. You need to click on ‘Continue to Basket’ to bring up the ‘Shopping Basket’ page. Here your choice is confirmed under Product, Quantity and Total price. There’s an option link to ‘Remove’ an item as well.

From here you click on the ‘Go to Checkout’ button and are taken to the ‘Reserve and Collect’ page, if there is no home delivery option, and you find the closest store to you for collection. Lastly you pay for your item. Curry’s accepts most popular credit and debit cards.

Finally

Shopping on the Curry’s website is straightforward. The items are easy to find and the information available about each item is good enough for you to make an informed choice. Buying the item is a bit more complex as you may have to go to a store to collect it if home delivery isn’t given as an option. But at least having the website gives you the chance to browse for your coffee maker at your leisure and in private.
