Finding the section on coffee makers
When you’ve reached the Morphy Richards home page look for the bar running across the top of the page and click on Products. On the left hand side of the products page is a products menu. Click on ‘Coffee makers’ in the menu to bring up the coffee maker start page. This page features some of the company’s favourites as well as the coffee info links. On the left hand side the menu drops down to show the types of coffee maker on offer including filter, espresso, combined and bean to cup machines.
The selection available
Morphy Richards offers a small selection of coffee makers with the emphasis on filter machines. These are in the mid section of the price spectrum.
Information provided on the site
Click on Filter Coffee makers to reach the filter machine start page. The items are arranged in columns on a clear background with a brief summary of features infer the image. Click on the image to bring up the item page. This offers a larger image with a more detailed run down on features. With the ‘Latitude’ model, for instance, you get an easy to use milk frother that ensures no mess when milk is being frothed. It has a timer that allows you to switch on before you go to bed and wake up to freshly brewed coffee. Below is a list of other items in the range, not necessarily coffee related.
Click on ‘Espresso makers’ to find the ‘Mr. Cappuccino Espresso Maker with Frother’. This lower price range item makes espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha and macchiato. There are two other coffee makers in the Mr. Cappuccino range. One, under the ‘combined’ heading offers an espresso maker along with a filter function.
Morphy Richards offers one bean to cup coffee maker called ‘Momento’. Click on the link to view it then go to the item page. This is the most expensive but most useful model for the coffee aficionado. As well as the main image it has thumbnails of details that you can click on to view. To the left is a run down on features and underneath Product specification, Features… What they really mean, Downloads and Accessories bars. There is also a link to a ‘Momento website’.
Click on ‘Product Specification’ to get a drop down list of specs and features. Click on the ‘Features etc.’ bar for a brief explanation of some of the features. The ‘Coffee essence system’ we’re told is ‘Pre-brewing to extract maximum aroma and flavour.
‘Downloads allows you to download a PDF of the instruction book for the machine. There are no accessories available for this one.

Buying from the website
When you’ve chosen a product you can order it from the website by first adding it to your shopping basket or clicking on the ‘Buy Now’ button. Next, click on the checkout button. You’ll need to log on and register to go through the checkout process. When this is done you’ll be asked for billing and delivery addresses. Then enter your credit or debit card details and click on the ‘Place Order’ button. Your order will then be confirmed.
There is no charge for delivery, which can take up to 7 days after ordering.
Finally
The site offers mostly filter coffee makers, but there are some more sophisticated items as well. It’s easy enough to use and unlike some manufacturers’ sites you can buy from it quite easily. Some products are exclusive to certain retailers but you’re directed to their website if you want to buy online.
